I dey...

In Pidgin, there is an expression I dey like I dey but I no dey.

Translation: I'm physically present and appear to be paying attention but in reality I am totally spaced out.

Example: Federal Courts today.

Corollary: I dey like I no dey but I dey.

Translation: I'm physically present but appear to not being attention. However, I am fully aware of my surroundings.

Example: Me, eavesdropping in on your gossip.

All that's important is that it's Weinberg's Fed Courts and not the minutiae-lovin' sadist's Fed Courts.

What fed court episode are you referencing. Because although I dey like I dey-dey, I no dey.

But I think the minutiae-lovin' sadist's course might be a little more interesting and certainly better taught...

There wasn't a particular episode. I dey on some days, I no dey on others.

Oh I can assure that it was not interesting (oh the minutiae!) and not well taught (at least overall). I think you guys at least read cases with facts, and, gush, talk about those cases for more than 5 minutes.

Hey blogazon,
I'm in your Fed Courts class. I'm one of the people who dey all the time and talks maybe too much, causing others to no dey. I discovered your blog through Divisadero (who obviously thinks we made the better fed courts decision) and I'm now a fan. I won't ask you to reveal your true identity here in public but do come by and say hello after class.
